What is Fjordlife?

A: Fjordlife is an ethically sourced womenswear and natural beauty online boutique. 
We pride ourselves on only partnering with designers and brands who offer mindful and honest business practices - from fair employment, supply chain transparency to sustainability. 

When and where were you founded?: 

A: Fjordlife was founded by Brittany Haavaldsrud in October 2015, with offices based in Toronto Canada. 

Where does the name Fjordlife come from? 

A: Brittany’s great-grandparents immigrated from Norway to Canada to start a family business. They were her first example of social entrepreneurship. She wanted to pay homage to them when choosing the name. Geirangerfjord in Norway is close to where they came from and one of her favourite places to visit. Fjord’s to us are the definition of pure, clean and pristine - exactly how we want to live our lives.

Where do the products come from?

What is your design philosophy?

A: Above all else, quality and style. We want you to love the items you purchase and the stories behind them. We look for items that combine quality craftsmanship with thoughtful design.  

What is ‘sustainable style’ and ‘natural beauty’? 

A: Sustainable style refers to products that are produced with a consideration to the environmental and social impact it may have. Natural beauty refers to skincare items that are made up of plant based ingredients and free from harmful chemicals and toxins. 



How do I determine my size? 

A: Please refer to our sizing chart and measurement guide when determine what size to purchase. The item description will list whether the item runs large or small. If you need help making a selection please contact us at assistant@fjordlife.ca.

What if I am between sizes? 

A: If you’re between sizes, you should consider your personal preference. Some clients prefer a looser fit with room, while others prefer a tighter fit. If you can’t decide, contact us and we will be happy to help assistant@fjordlife.ca.

What is your shipping policy? 

A: Fjordlife is proud to offer worldwide shipping. We strive to get the orders to you as quickly as possible. Items will be processed in 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). We ship items based on weight and distance through Canada Post or USPS. For more information read our full shipping policies.

How can I cancel my order?

A: We try to get orders out as quickly as possible so cancelling is not always available if the item has already been processed. We do offer returns and exchanges once an order has been sent. 

Can you ship faster? 

A: If you are interested in express shipping please send us an email to assistant@fjordlife.ca.

How do I return my item? 

A: We want you to love your purchase – so we make returns as easy as possible. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return anything that’s not just what you were looking for, unless noted at the time of purchase. For more information, please see our return policies.

Do you offer exchanges? 

A: If the order has not yet been shipped we are happy to change the order. Send us an email to assistant@fjordlife.ca. If the order has shipped we are able to offer a refund and you can purchase in another size/colour.



What form of payment do you accept? 

A: We accept visa, mastercard, american express and paypal. All prices are listed in
    Canadian dollars and will be converted to your countries currency upon checkout. 

Will I be charged tax? 

A: Fjordlife will collect tax when required by law. Tax is dependent on the area you reside in and will be calculated and applied at check out. 



What is a waiting list? 

A: The wait list is the best possible way to obtain a sold out item. It’s easy; we just need an email address so we can contact you. If the item is reissued, you will be personally notified as soon as it becomes available, giving you first-hand access to purchase the item you missed.
